Makes sense. It makes for a pretty easy story, get a few quotes from a retired player who doesn't have much else to do, and write a few sentences of commentary. And it does double or triple duty on subject matter, fans and haters with opinions on any of the names involved will click through and read it.
As for the subject matter, duh of course Raffy would support them, he ain't getting near a parsec of the place if they don't go in. Pretty much all the PED users and prime suspects have a vested interest in supporting each other to break down that barrier.

Brock, I think you're either reading the dictionary wrong, or you need to re-read what you wrote. The standard pronunciation of "cachet" is "cash-SHAY" (or more like "ca-SHAY") not "cash-SAY," which would be a heckuva tongue-twister.
"Caché" is a real word in French, though. (meaning "hidden") That's where our word "cache" comes from. But I think the English word has always had a silent E.
