“I know that there’s people that have accused me because of some of the guys that helped us win in Oakland and St. Louis, so the only thing I can say is I know 100 percent that our program was absolutely clean for everything that we could control,"
Mr. La Russa, your asterisk is here, where shall I put it?
The vets though clearly made a statement that they don't care about PED's with TLR being voted in unanimously. We'll see as the PED era greats reach the committee (however it is set up then) but I suspect we'll see Bonds/Clemens/etc. all put in shortly after they get to that stage and the holier than thou writers are no longer able to decide.
Asterisk for tainted stars
asterisk (*; Late Latin: asteriscus, from Greek: [...] asteriskos, "little star")
Why does it have to be Asterisk? FreeSWITCH is much better.
Glad TLR isn't going 'keep them out' as it would sound really, really bad from him given who all was in his clubhouse.
But then the holier than thou players like Schilling and Frank Thomas will get to decide instead. I'm not confident the vets will be any more kind to the likes of Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, and Sosa than the writers were.
