Though I'm not sure if I'm ready for a full test match live...these two and a half hour condensed versions are enough for me so far.
I just watched the 2nd Test Match of the Ashes. (Excuse my muddled terminology I'm still relatively new) Australia was down about 80+ runs with two wickets left and Shane Warne (who I gather is better known for his bowling than his batting) went on a run and made it close. It was the only section of the edited match where they pretty much showed every bowl. After scoring 45 or so poor Warne stepped on his stumps and from there on in Australia chipped away with singles until the English wicket keeper made a diving catch when they were just 3 runs back.
I imagine that would have been a hell of a stretch to watch live.
I did catch some of the Australia-South Africa Test match last weekend as I happened to be up at 4am. But I was up that late mostly because I had been drinking for several hours so I wasn't picking up on a lot...except that it appeared to be Nicky Ponting's last match (or last season, I was fuzzy on that). Is he a former great? From what I recall of that match, and what I've seen so far of the 2005 Ashes he doesn't exactly seem like a current great.
You should have seen their haka.
Well, best known for his womanizing including part of Liz Hurley's decline phase.
But when it comes to Aussie cricket, there's only one thing to remember: underarm bowling.
