The tournament drew a record 781,429 fans since it began in Asia on March 2, played to huge international television audiences, and Brosnan said it will certainly be back for its fourth running in 2017.

So the headline is wrong, Dotel DOESN'T think Dominicans should tell the truth but should do whatever serves their interests.

That's fine but that's a really misleading headline.

Dotel's become such a journeyman that it's hard to remember the pitcher he was in Houston. For a couple of years there Dotel was as fearsome a reliever as there was in Major League Baseball. That one year where the Astros had Dotel, Lidge and Wagner at the back of the bullpen was obviously quite impressive.

Dotel's become such a journeyman that it's hard to remember the pitcher he was in Houston. For a couple of years there Dotel was as fearsome a reliever as there was in Major League Baseball. That one year where the Astros had Dotel, Lidge and Wagner at the back of the bullpen was obviously quite impressive.

Watching Dotel destroy beast-mode ryan braun this last fall was an inspiration. 0 for 5, with 5 strikeouts (on a total of 18 pitches).

In his career, Dotel faced him 11 times, and struck him out in 9 of those. Wow.
