Ah, October baseball! The crisp evening air, the tension of playoff baseball, the recriminations and blame, the second-guessing by writers, what a time of year.
I love it when retreads like Melvin and Showalter are suddenly brilliant. And the "culture of the White Sox" changed when Guillen was fired, not when the new guy was hired. Robin was added according to the rule of three (three examples make a rule) rather than his 4-11 finish while in a playoff race. Guess how Simmons would have interpreted *that* if he was covering Chicago?
