One of South Korea’s opponents at the upcoming World Baseball Classic (WBC) was forced to apologize on Tuesday after its scouts sneaked into a Korean practice game, in an apparent attempt to gather information on its regional rival ahead of the March 2-19 tournament.

After much delay, the KBO on Tuesday approved a tenth team that will join the top tier in 2015, but not until it was pushed and shoved.

Sounds kinky.

If that 7 million figure is accurate, it would amount to 13,500 per game. That's a lot of people.

I went to my first KBO game in Seoul this year at Jamsil Stadium (the Olympic one). Capacity crowd at 27,000 or so. It was a blast -- and not just because beers are $2.

And Scott Richmond and Dana Eveland just signed with KBO teams, so attendance will skyrocket even further.

What's really great about Korean baseball is that for a time it looked like it was on the decline, but has skyrocketed again after the Korean team did well in the WBCs.
