Chace’s Pancake Corral, for real. (NYT backgrounder on the star who stayed)
Read More...Seems our favorite M, who dazzles us with the K, makes it a point to visit the Pancake Corral a couple of times a week, in fact, whenever the team’s in town.
“Yes, he comes in with wife and cute little boy and he always has the strawberry waffle with bacon and eggs and orange juice,” says owner Jane Zakskorn, whose dad, William Chace, now deceased, opened the cozy little breakfast and lunch joint 55 years ago ...

Every time I see Carp's name in print I mentally read it as "Crap". I guess that's just some kind of flaw in my makeup or something.
Its a feature, not a bug.
The Mariners as a whole are hitting 193/272/281. The TEAM is below the Mendoza line and then some.
255/306/415 on the road.
EDIT: Opps are hitting 224/286/337 at Safeco.
That's not real baseball. when good hitters cannot hit the baseball, something has to be fixed. Whatever the anti-humidor is, put the baseball's in that. Or better yet, run more stands toward fair territory along 1B and 3B (extra revenue!), shrinking the foul territory, and bring the OF fences in. If the cold wet air is going to kill offense, balance must be brought back, somehow.
Just because there are seats does not mean there are people eager to spend money to sit in them. Being closer to the Mariners is not necessarily an incentive.
Get rid of the cold, wet air! Please!
Perhaps it just shows how great the Mariner pitching and defense have been.
