I had to find a youtube clip since the article didn't link to one. This is only a homerun trot, but he definitely doesn't flow when he runs. He runs (or jogs) like he is injured.

In the general population, this is far from uncommon. I see tons of folks who run by stomping their feet on the ground (goodbye, knees!), run while shoving their arms from side to side, etc. What's weird about Montero is that he played years of professional baseball without anyone fixing his running style (thanks, Yankee minor league coaches). I ran track, and our coach fixed stompers and flailers pretty quickly. Although he only threatened to make us do it, we were supposed to be able to run the 110 meter hurdles with potato chips in our hands without breaking them.

It does seem silly that the haven't corrected this. Maybe they tried and he just reverts to his bad habits? I can see a guy training to learn a new swing, slumping and bagging it, but running?
