Read More...Alex Sanabia is on the Marlins. The odds are at least decent that you’ve never heard of Alex Sanabia before. What’s he all about? Let’s see ... leads the league in losses ... kind of a control pitcher in the minors ... 24 years old ... drafted in the 32nd round, just a round after William Mays ... but pretty nondescript, mostly.
...Spitter. He’s the spit guy. The guy with the spit. Yeah, I remember him. Ol’ Spitface with the spit coming out of his face. Good spitter, that guy. Loves to spit. ...

Quoted for truth.
Are the Marlins attempting to see if they can set a record for lowest attendance in the modern era?
If they actually go through with this plan, their fan will riot.
I suspect you've been waiting for this opportunity to use the 1 fan quip.....
Sure, I can see him doing that, but he'd have to be an all-time great defender just to get to replacement level, no?
Barney Darwin had a 79 OPS+ last year, and was still above replacement offensively with 1.3 oWAR. Aaron Hill had a 78 OPS+ in 2010, and that was good for 0.8 oWAR. The offensive replacement level at 2B is really low.
Polanco commented: "Despite the fact that it is only a one-year contract and I don't have a no-trade, I have been told that I am a part of their long-term plans here. And I totally believe them."
You only have to be better than Freddy Galvez.
What are they going to do with Morrison? Back to the outfield? With his glove, that seems like a terrible idea.
He's asked for his own parking spot and that's money out of Loria's pocket -- trade his ass!
Remember the brief-lived Sunshine League or whatever it was called of retired MLBers? That's what the Marlins are going for.
I think this is just a typo. He should be the starting 3B.
