This reminds me of ABC having a 360 cam during the political conventions. They went to it once and my wife said "why did they give us a cameraphone quality shot of the convention just to show us a 360 view?" Completely pointless.
There are a few ways they could make this hologram technology awesome. Have a "virtual" Mel Allen chime in with "how about that" on great plays. A virtual Jack Buck giving that eloquent speech he gave after 9/11 during the 7th inning stretch instead of the infernal GBA. Or have Princess Leia give an impassioned plea to Obi Won Kanobi to save the people of Alderraan.
Well, the company that made hologram Tupac has gone bankrupt, so that may be an obstacle.
(Yes, every time I see a TBS thread, I'm going to mention Frank Caliendo. I lived through the atrocity that was "Frank TV", and I shall bear witness!)
