“Let it be said that during the time from 9/11 to 9/21, the Yankees were (not around),”
Boy, I hate the yankees as much as any normal person, but this seems totally classless and out of line.
We have an imbecile at work who saw some movie on Netflix that hypothesized the event was staged,
I think she said about 9/11 something like "I don't believe all the conspiracy, buuuuuuuuut its interesting, that's all I'm saying."
My cousin is a believer in every conspiracy. Left, right, all. He believes in Chemtrails, that Al-Qaida doesn't exist, that aliens are being hidden, etc.
I had to start dropping people from my feed at the election last year when they wouldn't shut up about the idea that the Department of Labor fabricated the unemployment report to make Obama look good before the election.
His post before that was how much he liked "Oblivion" - which is probably even more insane
Too-predictable story, overly stock characters, completely stupid resolution.
I recently went out a couple of times with a well-educated gal. Masters degree in business. Big baseball fan. Classically trained musician. When she's talking baseball or music, she's cool as hell and we get along great.
Otherwise, she talks an awful lot about the "controlling classes" who rule the world, or how fluoride in the water is the government poisoning people
Even given that all women eventually go crazy, and she's the classic housewife with too much time on her hands, it's seems a little over the top. He's not sure what to do with her, and I find myself short on advice.
The good thing about 9-11 deniers is that it's a handy way to find out immediately someone isn't worth your time.
or how fluoride in the water is the government poisoning peop
As to deniers, I figure its good that people don't trust the government. Keeps 'em on their toes.
I always thought MLB's pontificating and self congratulating was weird after 9-11. The fact that they still talk about it is weirder yet. Was it a nice moment, sure. Did baseball help heal the community? I don't know, certainly not as much as watching a baseball game on 9-11 would have you believe.
