I agree with him in part about how ridiculous the coverage of the NFL draft is. The draft is important, and all non-QB players are immediately counted upon to make an impact, unlike in baseball or even to an extent the NBA where it can take a couple years for rookies to really come into their own. But the amount of coverage is just ####### bonkers.

According to my mom, my great-grandparents, the ones who immigrated to this country from Russia, we're so enthralled with pro-wrestling during its television heyday of the 1950s that they would overturn furniture and scream at the set at the top of their lungs while they watched. I wish I could have seen that.

It's really hard to fathom that the lead story on Canada Day weekend in July is hockey, but there you go!
