Both included fielding numbers that strong suggested a move off of 1B within a few years was going to be necessary. He wasn't going to get more than 8 years, and it's hard to imagine with a three year record of real decline that one great year was going to put Wright in the 20m bracket.
I like the deal for both sides, but the Mets aren't getting a sure thing by any means.
Both systems show him as excellent last year. May he was just hurt during the two bad years?
