If you can fulfill all the requirements of the job, this will end up being one of the most exciting jobs of you life.

There is no way I could do this, but I am curious - how much does this pay?
Also, is there more than one stringer for each ballpark? I assume ues, but it still seems like a lot of turnover for one year.

This would be an awesome summer job considering I'm a teacher and have summer's off. Too bad I don't live in any of these markets.
I was looking to see how much they get paid to answer #3, and came across this same ad from a couple years ago. In the comments section, the guy said they also employ stat stringers for minor league teams. I wonder where you find out what is available?
I did minor league scoring for Baseball Info Solutions one summer in 2005. Would that be considered "previous experience" even though there was no pressbox exposure?
The only problem with this job is how are you supposed to reciprocate to all of the women flirting with you while logging pitch/game data? Especially if you are wearing your "BP Stat Stringer" t-shirt?

This.
I'm thinking of simply contacting the local MiLB team offices to find out.

I believe this is an excerpt from the screenplay to one of history's more obscure pornographic movies, "Stat Stringer Auditions Gone Wild"

I thought of that, but they seem to be employed through MLB.com, not the actual team. Would MLB.com also employ the minor league stat stringers? If not, I'm sure they could at least point you in the right direction.
Also, it said they employ stat stringers for all AAA teams and some AA teams. That was from a few years ago, so they may have added more.
Let me know if you find anything out, Nutbag, as I live 15 minutes from a AAA team in an area that isn't really baseball crazy. If there's an opening here, I doubt there would be much competition for the job.
