Funny, McCoy--I was just thinking the exact opposite.

Lidge, 35, went 0-1 with two saves and a 9.64 ERA in 11 appearances this season with the Nationals.
If wins and losses are a faulty indicator for evaluating the year-to-year success of starters, then using them for relievers must be beyond meaningless
It amused me that the guy they listed the qualifications of Lidge's replacement as having a 9.00 ERA in A and AA.
Would printing Lidge's K/9, BB/9, and/or K/BB ratios be so controversial?
...in 3 rehab innings. He had a 2.25 ERA in 20 MLB innings before getting hurt.
