3.Chris Singleton out 6-8 weeks with injury, Okafor out indefinitely with herniate disk ... you thought that the Wizards would eventually catch a break with injuries, guess not.
yeah and add Rose to the gained 10 points of muscle crowd
I guess this thread title should have included (aside from better proof read) "this thread is for us fans who is no longer interested in the baseball season because they root for the Yankees or Angels or other bad teams" and of course, let's not get away from the point of this site Quantitative Easing and Crimes against humanity.
That's disappointing, but at least the Timberwolves are sure to brighten my spirits this year, as they always do.
Seriously though how many people are interested in the NBA and what is this site really about?
Okafor being a good player - I'll concede he's alright. But you can't ignore the $14.5 million anchor he's hanging around this club's neck. With a body breaking down as well...fine teammate but I'm not losing sleep if he's out of the lineup.
As for Vesely, shooting is the least of his problems. There are plenty of useful players who can't shoot. The issue is he doesn't appear to have any idea where he's supposed to be or what he's supposed to be doing. He can't rebound or handle the ball or pass or play defense.
I estimate that only 8-10 are interested, and site is really about consumer boycotts and ballpark suicides.
17 - Consumer boycotts? Which thread?
13 - I'm with you on the principle of building/working for your core, but I don't think that's DC's motivation, which is understandable. Given that Okafor is an above average NBA player (who will be paid regardless of whether or not he plays) and that his replacements are terrible (or do you want to argue for Porter as a power forward?)...
feel like this is partly because the shooting issues are so far in his head -- not unlike Biedrins.
I've heard some of my peers complain that they're less consistent (as their body is less apt to cooperate).
Had nonconstructive surgery on my ACL. I can almost straighten my leg now. In another month< I should be back to semi normal. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy though. The first two weeks after surgery are living hell.
I don't have as much freedom or the usage rate that I had in New York.
also, i don't think cousins is worth a max extension, as he might get
shaq is now part owner of the kings!?
I don't know that I agree with this. I think his difficulty getting off the ground quickly is a major shortcoming at both ends. Not insurmountable, certainly, but a limitation.
Yes, the Nuggets didn't impress me
If I were a rival GM, I'd be on the phone with Mills first thing in the morning to explore trade possibilities. In particular, I'd be interested in first round draft picks two to three years from now.
Would've been a better post a few months back, but: a recent thread that touched on the best lineups you could build for a baseball franchise with players that only played for them got me thinking about the basketball equivalent (in the NBA and ABA, at any rate).
I suspect the Lakers and Celtics would pretty much blow everyone else out of the water. Though if Parker and Ginobili stay put, the Spurs could run out a damn good starting lineup.
