Why won't someone just tell me where to go?! I need direction, people.
So who's entertaining me all of this time?
Do you play tennis?
That will help since the rest of us will obviously be wearing Pavement t-shirts.
I don't actually own a Pavement t-shirt, but I may have to pick one up for the occasion!
EDIT: North Meadow is closer to the East Side. If we go for drinks or something social after, walking to 3rd or 2nd might be more convenient than going to (I dunno) Columbus.
I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, ####-kickers and Methodists.
Perhaps those who are so inclined could provide their first names in this thread, so we can match their first names with their handles? It was a bit difficult a couple years ago to get a sense of who was who. "I'm Billy Bob." "Oh." "Screen name Johnny Thunder!!!" "Okay..."
If you expect all these broken down old geeks to walk from Central Park to 2nd Avenue after the softball game, you're insane.
In fairness, I thought we were first going to Sam's hotel suite to shower, change, and enjoy a few drinks.
Wait. We're expected to give our real names?
I'd assumed that Ray was asking for a name you'll answer to
You don't have to bring hydration. So long as your comfortable with your heat stroke induced fainting session living eternally on YouTube.
I'm all for drinking on the UES and then everyone going back to RB's place to trash it in a drunken stupor.
insale is a good option; for a classier joint, you could do ABV on 97th and Lex.
EDIT: My bona fides being that I live in Carnegie Hill, so this is sort of my stomping grounds.
Aug 3rd works for me.
And where is this practice to be, so we can possibly level the playing field a bit?
Alas, I will be white water rafting on the 3rd, battling the rapids in Lehigh Valley.
is this slow pitch, "let 'em hit it," or not?
Curiosity: What are our rainout contingencies?
Bowling is damned expensive in the city.
Just to show how serious I am about this game, I'm heading to Citifield for a practice softball game next week.
