Oh, did someone bring up the '97 Final? Lo-fi is the best fi.
Has there ever been a worse Juve kit? Love the "C" on Dortmund..one of their best kits in a George Halas sort of vein.
FIFA is talking about moving the 2022 WC to the winter. A far simpler solution would be to move it to England.

Sounds like the game was a typical sample of Portuguese football then.
The U.S. team has been hit with a rash of injuries as eight players are unavailable for the matches. Edgar Castillo (facial fractures), Timmy Chandler (hamstring), Steve Cherundolo (knee), Tim Howard (back), Fabian Johnson (hip), Jonathan Spector (ankle), Jose Torres (hamstring) and Danny Williams (illness).

beIN has announced that it's going to be on Verizon's English and Spanish lineups:
Spent some time yesterday thinking about the WCQ tomorrow night with Costa Rica. I feel like this is the worst possible time to have Tim Howard out. It's not that Guzan is that big a drop from Howard but it seems to me that one of Howard's strenghts is his ability to take charge of the backline and organize them while I'm not sure Guzan has that skill. While Guzan has been around awhile he's relatively light on actual game experience, he's been a long time backup.
I think Guzan should be fine. He's had to deal with a pretty crappy Aston Villa defense this season, if nothing else.

but I worry about Guzan's organizational skills
The gametime forecast in Commerce City predicts a 90 percent chance of snow showers, with as much as four inches of accumulation by the end of the night, adding yet another wrinkle to this intriguing affair

The field is ridiculous. I mean seriously, they shouldn't play it.
West Ham pens a pretty sweet deal for the Olympic Stadium. Their chairman still rages a bit in the article.
I think red would have been a much better choice of ball color.
