What else, what else
Strikers are a lot like closers in baseball.
Baldrick, the Spanish League isn't "significant team silverware"?
When Cavani signs with PSG, word is that Zlatan will be unloaded. He's on huge wages, of course. And he really wants to win CL, which could be tough at Spurs.
The problem for Spurs' braintrust is they must know the time to go for it is now.
Food strikers create their own chances
I wonder what team is after Benteke? I refuse to believe it's Spurs as he's a talented young striker.
The other thing is, Spurs already have a bloody fantastic striker in Emmanuel Adebayor. They just need to get him to play like one again. When he's on song, I'd take him over just about any other center forward in the world. The guy is less than reliable, no doubt, but he can be amazing.
And if some stupid club pays £30M or something
I expect this is why Mourinho is in for him, it's the closest he could possibly ask for to another Drogba.
I think Benteke will end up the more complete player, stronger on the ball and in the air and with more overall creativity.
Lukaku is 2.5 years younger.
Holy crap, Nigeria, you are not doing it right!
The Ballon d'or shortlist is out:
Who determines the shortlist?
As in previous years, the accolade is voted for by a jury composed of journalists from each of UEFA's member associations. Each journalist has provided a list of their five best-ranked players – the players are ordered from one to five, with the first receiving five points, the second four points and so on.
The top ten players overall advance to a second vote by the jury
and it's scandalously tilted toward attacking players.
Am I missing something about him?
Watching the Spanish language broadcast makes me feel kind of bad for Torres.
They call him "El Gringo?"?
