Anderson gives Torii Hunter a meatball on an 0-2 count. Grr. 1-1 now. Hunter's 298th career HR.
This Cardinal game feels like it is just moving right along.
EDIT: On reviewing the replay, though, a little Edmondsesque: his dive was more like a flop, and it was only snow-coned because he didn't get it cleanly into the glove, which he should have been able to do.
He also misread the ball off of the bat. It'll make highlight reels due to his recovery, but it really wasn't a good play.
First, those numbers aren't close to be correct.
The Cardinal that hasn't hit yet who will is Allen Craig. I do think Beltran may be toast (he just popped up with runners at the corners) but Craig will hot .300 and drive in 100.
Hope Ivan Nova enjoys the bullpen.
I'm just worried about how much of Adams and Carpenter's performance is real and how much of it is Kozma level of luck?
Esoteric, you need to relax with all the "I feel bad for Met fans." It's starting to sound disingenuous.
Harvey 9 outs away from No-No.
Thanks a lot, Eso.
Oh sure, blame me.
I totally forgot Homer Bailey had a no-hitter last year.
Well, I'd normally blame Sam, but he's probably drunk and passed out in the gutter somewhere.
Great play by Descalso at SS---and the pick by Craig---to preserve the Wainwright shutout through 7. He's only at 85 pitches (63 strikes).
Sounded like a great play on the radio.
Cano is at SS and Cervelli at 2B. Oh Boy.
I don't like this at all. I was hoping that Collins would let Harvey start the 9th.
Or not. When does Doctor Who start?
