Stay classy. (This is the reason no one can stand Red Sox or Cardinals fans.)
So, can the Cardinals win? I'd say they go in fairly significant underdogs.
So, the two Cy Young winners lost the two LCS deciding games. That's got to be pretty rare.
Lol. The Godly Shortstop kicking a potential double play ball and then Fielder effing up on the bases go in the Red Sox "little things" column?
Only if it's a series sweep.
Duh. They go into the column of the Tigers not doing the little things.
"Hey, who won the series back in '06?"
"Ummm...wasn't it that sh!tty team that only won because the other team kept throwing the ball away?"
"Yeah. Houston, I think."
"No, it was Arizona or somebody."
Napoli's Monster Home Run that everyone really enjoyed drooled over because it was an awesome dinger, with cool footage of it landing in a hedge on a remote upper ledge in straightaway CF they had Almost Never Seen A Ball Hit That Far before?
I always end up identifying with the fan bases. Neither of these fan bases deserve to win any more. Winning this World Series will not make anyone happier. They have all achieved and maintained infinite happiness already. Who cares?
What a silly discussion. "Little things" refer to things like bunting, hitting and running, and taking the extra base.
And why would someone not watch this World Series? It's the two best teams in baseball. Isn't that what we always whine about not getting to see?
QUICK who is the winningest player in baseball history?*
*No seriously. Who is it? It'd have to be a 20-30's Yank right? If we count playoffs, and we should.
