Was that the year they had Reitsma and Kolb?
I've noticed this too. I've said as much before in other chatters, but the Red Sox made some moves with a nod towards "chemistry" this offseason and I wonder if Uehara was specifically targeted.
I wouldn't doubt it, but it helps that hes one of the best relievers in baseball and signed for 1/4.25

That has to be one of the rare circumstances where it's a pretty clearly the correct call to bunt, right?
But that's not the crazy thing. The crazy thing is that he's reached base 7 times (5 hits and 2 walks), and scored 6 runs. WTF.
Are you sure he hasn't reached on any errors or groundouts where the lead runner is forced out?
