##Game Note: Nationals starting CF Ben Revere is cleared to play after a 7-day DL with concussive symptoms
Unless I read the news wrong, this should read:
Nationals starting CF Denard Span is cleared to play after a 7-day DL with concussive symptoms.
.273/.368/.424 (793); .296 BABIP
Nothing about Porter's insane going after Lowrie for bunting?
It seems those numbers are going down daily....needs another chat.
Uh...no they're not. B.J. Upton hasn't sniffed anything similar to those numbers in a Braves uniform. You may be confusing him with Justin. This is, by far and away, light years beyond the best that Melvin has performed since signing with the Braves.
Whatever he's doing differently since talking to Chipper, it's not really changing his BABIP so much as removing the swings and misses.
B.J. Upton hasn't sniffed anything similar to those numbers in a Braves uniform.
Yep..prior to the conversation he had struck out 2 or more times in 6 out of 7 games to start the season... Since then in 8 games he has struck out twice only one time, and only has 5 strikeouts in the last 8 games.
Happily Miguel Carbrera has not been awarded Hitler of the Year.
What happened to Harper? Why is Fransden in?
That was the Orioles first challenge.
A very quick one, too.
Huge momentum swing, I'm very grateful for the replay system right now.
He was clearly safe by half a step and it was quickly overturned, to allow the run to score (tying game at 2) and the inning to continue (Os end up stranding the bases loaded)
For those not watching...what happened?
Nice to see the replay umps in Boston aren't homers.
I like pretty much everything in that sentence, "clearly safe" and "quickly overturned" being the best.
It was not clearly safe in real time. It was bang-bang, but the runner and 1B coach were both pretty adamant that he beat it out. On replay, he gets the bag about a half second before the ball hits glove, and the angle was clear, so it was an easy review/overturn.
Tony Cruz has multiple hits. He is well on his way to playing 15 years in the majors while never having a starting job.
Rosenthal doesn't look like the same pitcher he was last year.
Rosenthal letting his "head" mess up his game.
Down 3-1 in the bottom of the 9th, A's come back to win 4-3 on a Josh Reddick hit.
