Dude. Everyone hates Yadi Molina. Everyone. Even his mom.
So he's the current generation's version of Chipper?
Some of these things they are offering on the charity would be nice. $12,000 for the Mike Matheny experience, totally worth it. Talk strategy and participate in the team meetings?
This 'experience' better include taking a fastball to the face and being forced to stand and bear it like it never happened.
Al and Dan just said that Balfour is 23 for 23 in save opps this year and is closing in on Eck's team record of 40
I thought Ziegler had a good run and set the team record... guess not.
Pedroia 2 run HR, Ortiz hard hard liner off the wall, Napoli homer.
Tied 5-5 vs Iwakuma, bullpen is up in the 3rd.
He broke Eck's record last night.
Ziegler set the MLB record for most consecutive scoreless innings to start a career and the Oakland record for most consecutive scoreless innings (39 innings).
They are 27-22 outside the NL Central.
Looking at Blazek's tattoo, made me think, would it be against the rules to tattoo your throwing arm, with a baseball and to make it look like two balls are coming out of your hand?
you'd have to wear long sleeves whenever you pitched.
Matheny and Blazek are trying to manufacture a save situation for Mujica.
Seriously. Went from "laugher, up 9-1 going to 9th" to "9-5, 2 men on, closer pitching for 5th time in 6 days",
Best division in baseball :) even our lesser teams kick the snot out of everyone else. :)
Haven't we had like three days off in that time frame though?
Iglesias at the plate then plonks one off the end of his bat over the SS, Ortiz comes in to score, 10-7.
All switch-hitters who use the same helmet look a little funny with the double ear flaps.
But at least Victorino has some cream/white coloured padding inside his blue helmet, to visually break things up. That's a veteran move. On the Mariners side, Nick Franklin has black padding inside his dark home batting helmet, which makes it look huge. Great Gazoo batting helmet.
