Of 47 pitchers with 1,500 innings logged since 2000, Marquis is 40th in strikeout rate, 43rd in walk rate.

But unlike 20 of those 47 pitchers, Jason Marquis is still getting outs and winning games. And he doesn’t much care what anyone thinks about how he does it.

i liked the padres one:

just a note: though the handicapped are allowed to enjoy padres games at petco park their attendance is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED.

that's not as good as the norm mcdonald weekend update bit that's my new favorite youtube video of the day, but i got a chuckle out of it, at least.

Sounds like the Indians when they were constantly getting sellouts (have a buddy in a wheel chair kept trying to get the handicapped tickets and they refused to sell them, then would put them up for sale at the counter on the day of the game at normal price)

Agree with post 6, although the Angels one was stupid, and the Braves one helps tell the identity of the hacker, I didn't know Sam was a computer hacker.

These are actually *really* funny. Whoever is doing this is well above the level of the standard dumb teenage hacker.

Loved the vulgar Braves one immediately followed by the hashtag #ThisIsWhyWeChop. But nothing tops the White Sox Tweet, again because of the hashtag kicker. That's the clear winner right there, and I won't spoil it by repeating it here. Click through and laugh.

F*** Bill Murray on the Cubs page was pretty good, too.

And I love me some Bill Murray.
He used to live a couple of miles from where I grew up, and he'd buy beer at the beverage discount place where my buddies worked. It wasn't THAT easy to find, and he didn't really need to save a buck on a 12-pack. But why pay more?
