Speaking of attendance (though off topic in the general thread), I just looked it up and 7 of the 8 worst attendances are AL teams. And the one NL team among them is going to be an AL team next year.

The last season in which AL per-game attendance exceeded NL was 1995. That was one of five such seasons within the past 57.
and don't expect any improvement in the astros attendence next year neither. or the year after that. i can tell you that i'm not going and that's one percent right there
As much as I hated the Pirates in the 70s during the time of a strong Philly-Pittsburgh rivalry, I do feel sorry for our cross-state fans these days. Heck, even Mets fans don't deserve what you are going through. </ducking>
That 6-month-old toddler in the stands for the last time the Pirates finished over .500 can go to next season's opener with a legal ID if he wants to drink heavily. In fact, I recommend that he do so.

what's mildly amusing is that the nl central division winner didn't even finish in the top 3 in attendance in its own division
Same thing could be said about the AL east when Baltimore wins the division. :)
