My personal Cardinals villain is the guy who put a hex on Tigers pitchers in 2006 that made them throw balls into the outfield after fielding. And whoever it was that tripped Curtis Granderson in centerfield.
That would have been a good villain. I think most of these choices were somewhat lame. I can see Denkinger/Twins Stadium/Jimmy Fallon....beyond that, the rest as mentioned were just people having a good series. That isn't a villain. A villain is someone who does an action (see Holliday's slide) that upsets the fanbase in some reason, it helps if they also then have a good series, but that isn't really necessary.

A villain is someone who takes pleasure in destroying you not someone who simply goes out and plays well. So Dennis Rodman could and would be a villain but Scottie Pippen could never be one. Michael Jordan could be a villain but got cast as the hero instead.
