Guys, the Orioles have pitching prospects not named Dylan Bundy!
Read More...The Baltimore Orioles hope this year’s high-profile midseason call-up is as good as last year’s high-profile midseason call-up.
The Orioles will promote right-hander Kevin Gausman from Class-AA Bowie to make his major league debut Thursday against Toronto, major league sources told FOXSports.com.
Gausman is reaching the majors less than one year after the Orioles selected him in the first round of the 2012 draft. He is 2-4 ...

It sounds like some morning zoo's recurring joke Italian character.
Repoz, kudos to you for consistently making me chuckle with the sub headlines. I don't get them all, but I don't think it's a bad assumption that the ones I don't get are pretty clever too.
Anyway, lousy system.
It would look better with Machado still on the list; he is no longer eligible because of too much major league PT. But it's not deep at all, and other than Bundy and maybe Gausman there's no impact talent.

It's not often that you see a guy listed as 1B/2B. 1B/3B, sure, but how often is a guy big/tall enough to play first base and also agile enough that he's got a shot at sticking at 2nd base?
This is awesome. (Do Gausman and Rodriguez have brothers in pro ball? I know the other three do/did.)
Is it in his glove? Oh no, that's just his arm.
Is it in his bat? Oh no, that's just his charm.

Has anyone else ever seen the Shoop Shoop Girls at Great Falls, Montana? We were there in 2007 and they were the most awesomely amateurish group of in game entertainers I've ever seen. It looked like they were led by a 60 year old Dance Academy owner who had 3 other ladies in costume. They went around the ballpark recruiting women and girls for their bottom of the 7th dance routine, which was holding up one or the other side of poster board with some word on it, at key times during Sweet Caroline. It was awesomely awful.
I'd prefer to have both top-end talent and depth, but if I can only have one, I'll take top-end talent. As a half-assed prospect enthusiast, it's just easier to have fewer names to pay attention to.
Of course the top-end talent will be harder for the Orioles to find if they are no longer drafting in the top 10.
This is hilarious
Not anymore it isn't.
Before that, though, it was Nick Markakis and about a decade of utter crap.
The Hobgood pick was widely panned at the time. Some of the players selected after Hobgood; Mike Trout, Drew Storen, Zach Wheeler, Aaron Crow, Mike Leake, and Mike Minor. I see Billy Hamilton and Jason Kipnis in the second. It's early and I haven't had my first cup of coffee, but if I look harder I'm sure I'd get even more annoyed.
The immortal Larry Bigbie, crap?
