The Phils' fans will gladly take KY, then. With the dreck that played 3B last year, with Kevin Frandsen being the best of the lot**, KY looks really, really good.

Just was thinking about guys who played 3B but kept getting hurt and the first name coming to mind was Paul Molitor. At 33 he was known for injuries. Then Milwaukee put him at DH and he suddenly was healthy and made the HOF. Youkilis isn't at that level (a few hundred hits shy), but his lifetime OPS+ at this point is higher than Molly's was at the same age. I wonder if someone put him in at DH and just let him play the field for 10-20 games a year if he might suddenly be a healthy regular contributor?

And copious amounts of cocaine. Good god, that would be a frightening site, a coked up, sweaty (of course) Youkilis charging at the helpless SS trying to turn the double play. Guarantee Capt. Dreamy Eyes himself doesn't complete that play.

Edgar Martinez too, although he probably won't make the HOF. They put him at DH after two injury-plagued seasons and he proceeded to rattle off 7 years of 164 OPS+ averaging 146 games per season.
