1. puck posted on September 28, 2012 at 05:23 PM # hit 0 | hit 0They did seem to get away from the groundball emphasis with Guthrie and Moscoso. Now Apodaca's gone (the pitching coach), he really seemed to emphasize playing up even non-sinkerball pitchers' two-seamers to get more ground balls.
They seemed to have a reasonable plan there for a while. The Blake St teams from 95-97 are the only teams to put up 3 straight winning seasons, but the best 3-season stretch in wins and winning pct. is actually 2007-2009.
Yeah, but it's only 5 pounds if you take out CC.
