Twitter is an abomination.
Hopefully Rocket does make a comeback (c'mon, why else would anyone watch the Astros this year). That way he'll be able to push the HOF vote back another 5+ years and let Bonds get the brunt of the PED backlash from voters who actively ignored the issue in '98 (remember andro in McGwire's locker and how virtually all writers, fans, front office, and other players ignored it or defended it even though it was banned by other sports). If the writers did in 1998 what they are doing now (namely blasting anyone who is suspected of steroids) we'd never have seen Bonds go for it and Clemens would've stopped immediately (if he started - remember the accuser is not exactly an honest person). All Bonds stories have him starting after seeing how McGwire got away with it ... heck, was pretty much praised for it. If McGwire was viewed as a pariah for it instead I have to think things would've gone drastically differently.
I found Facebook much more obnoxious (to the point of cancelling my account). For me Twitter is just a news aggregator, Facebook is more social and so I wound up stuck with all these people I know (or have known) and quickly realized that I hate all my friends. Between bumper sticker politics masquerading as deep insight, non-stop whining about someone or something that done somebody wrong or just pointless crap I found opening my Facebook page made me weep for humanity.
McGwire's locker and how virtually all writers, fans, front office, and other players ignored it
how is that an abomination?
As Brian Wilson said, I just wasn't made for these times.
Honestly, all I want to know is how The District Attorney got that Comic Sans font to display in his article submission. What's the coding trick for that?
