Yet his recent interaction with Brian Kenny put pay to any hope of a future career in analytics for Torii. In less than 45 seconds, Torii Hunter exposed a lack of understanding that is widespread amongst players and fans.
The numbers do lie sometimes. Max Scherzer may still finish the year beating Elroy Face for best winning percentage of all time. The fact that he still has a chance to do so is has nothing to do with anything Scherzer did. It has everything to do with what Torii Hunter did in the 9th inning yesterday.
but another pedantic point is, "Victor Martinez is hitting better than he was in April so it'd be a mistake to think he's only as good as what his April numbers say."
Dude has college age kids for crying out loud.

Did Torii threaten to punch Kenny and have to be pulled off by his teammates?
(three sons with three different women in nine months (?!) when he was 19-20)
Seriously? Not how I'd have celebrated being drafted by the Twins, but perhaps appropriate under the circumstances.
