The 2013 SABR Analytics Conference will be held Thursday, March 7 through Saturday, March 9, 2013, in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

Thursday’s programming will be held at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, 555 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Friday and Saturday’s programming will be held at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, 340 North 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Recommend Surly Bandwagon or Summit Pale Ale. Get one of each to honor both Twin Cities.

The Surly line is always crazy long, but if you're a beer nerd it's probably worth a sixth inning trip. The Summit is readily available and worthwhile at all times.

I'll vouch for Summit Pale Ale. That's some good stuff.

I'm heading to Target Field for the Cubs series, and I can't wait to try a Walleye on a Stick!

Summit Pale Ale was one of my go to brews when I lived in Minneapolis.

Walleye is a delicious freshwater fish. I loved that stuff.

Target Field is gorgeous, I know a couple who got married on the field. And to think that I got to pay tons of taxes to fund it's construction before moving away and only getting to see one game there. Gah.

Eh, Summit's pretty run-of-the-mill. One of the many disappointments about moving to the Twin Cities has been the beer scene. Leaves a LOT to be desired.
