Whenever I reminisce about going to Cardinals games at "old" new Busch as a kid in the '70s and later, ever present is the music of Ernie Hays, who had a number of distinctive organ riffs--actually more than riffs, but not quite as long as songs---that became ingrained in your brain. Between the sound of the organ, and the tune, I can say if I ever heard again any Ernie Hays ballpark music I would be transported back to a place, and time, long gone.

Truly a great piece of the Cardinal baseball experience. RIP.

Aw too bad. The only person ever to play for the Cardinals and Blues if not mistaken.
