Lillian “Lil” Labash married Stan Musial on May 25, 1940. Stan Musial was
playing Class D minor league baseball at the time.
The couple was married nearly 72 years.
So who's the best living wife of a ballplayer?
I hate to be the first to say it, but its pretty likely that Stan himself will be departing sooner than later. These happy old couples always seem die within months of each other. I guess it would really depend on Stan's health and his other personal relationships, but many times a man in his situation simply loses the will to live, and there is nothing wrong with that when you're in your 90's.
What does Grandpa do? Starts dating multiple women at once, and within a couple years he's married for a second time.
It wasn't actually any less tragic because of the age of departure.
Stop watching baseball and get to work on figuring out the immortality solution, please.
Mrs. Jose Lima?
I'm not sure the widow Lima counts any longer.
