With Drew, Peralta, and Gonzalez only being FAs if their teams decline the options.
Looking at that list, the Tigers almost certainly did the right thing.
A month ago, I was hoping for an upgrade for Jhonny P -- almost entirely for defensive reasons -- but I feel better about him after the past few weeks. And, really, there are no clearly better options unless you can somehow swing a trade for Andrus or Drew starts hitting again.
Good point.
I don't watch Detroit much, but he looked pretty damn slick against the Yankees in the ALCS.
Jhonny Peralta is not the best in the wooooorrlld.
Scutaro played a little bit of shortstop for the Rockies this year, and was horrible. He directly cost them this game, when the Rockies needed one more out to nail down the victory but Scutaro botched two consecutive routine grounders to short.
I know, he's a wonderful story, but he ain't a shortstop anymore.
