My Aaron Miles story is that as I was preparing a voice blog entry for my defunct SorianoWatch blog, the public address announcer at Spring Training in Jupiter, Florida was introducing Miles and it made a perfect intro to what I was about to say. That is all. Enjoy the pipe and slippers, old man.

I just noticed yesterday that he was on the Isotopes roster. I thought he'd been retired all season.

My only Aaron Miles story is the one where I received a mild heart attack when Hendry announced he gave Aaron Miles a multiyear multimillion dollar contract.

Man I hated that offseason. Hendry signs Bradley to a large multiyear contract and has to ship out some decent players just to make room for him and then all he basically does is add Aaron Miles to the team. For some oddball reason he thinks doing this will get the Cubs up over 90+ wins.

I always kind of felt TLR was grooming Miles to replace himself. Was really surprised this off-season, when they hired Matheny.

But for me, he will always be F Troop reimaged. I know I should blame Hendry for stupidly offering it, not Miles for smartly signing it, but it was like Neifi resurrected.

They're all going to outlive me, so I'm glad that I am not going to be around to confuse Aaron Miles, Adam Kennedy, and Aaron Hill when their obituaries start appearing.
