There should be some inexact artistry somewhere.
There's plenty of artistry involved when Matt Carpenter takes a pitch .5" outside. If it's called incorrectly, it stops being artistry and becomes travesty, especially if it's a 2-strike pitch.
Honestly, I think balls/strikes should have a level of subjectivity. Safe/out calls should be subject to replay, and for those I'd even be willing to replace the base umpires with lasers or whatever. But I think to eliminate the umpire differences in balls/strikes takes personality out of the game. There should be some inexact artistry somewhere.
How much would offense increase with a rigidly called correct strikezone?

I'm with jdennis, my other favorite sport is tennis so following his suggestion I think there should be more inexact line calls just to spice things up a bit
I always get confused... How many Terminators did they make? I don't think I saw any past T2... and pop culture generally seems to think that was plenty. Is that accurate?
Rise of the Machines came out about 10 years ago. Was a cromulent action movie, nothing special, nothing horrific.
Except for Claire Danes. She was annoying as hell.
The last one with Schwarzenegger was #3, right?
Didn't it also feature an exceptionally attractive female terminator?
