Why the hell is Mike Stanton being replaced by Shane Victorino? I'm cheering for Canada, so I appreciate the help, but aesthetically I don't appreciate Torre treating this tournament like an all-star game where everyone needs to play. It's an elimination game, for ####'s sake.

braun is the first milwaukee player who while i appreciate his talent regard as a bit of a jerk. milwaukee has been blessed with a lot of good non-jerk players

taylor green is one of the few guys who when i watch him he 'looks' like a real hitter but the results do not follow

15 - I think Kaat is reaching a bit there but in a tournament like this with teams thrown together I think you have a greater chance if some confusion on a bunt play than you normally would.

Really any defensive play where you need multiple players involved (DPs, relays too) are a bit less automatic than they are in regular season baseball.

Holland at 64 pitches is done (though he is technically allowed to pitch to one more batter). Gave them a decent start, I suppose.

Nothing says clueless like a guy who has no idea how well Glen Perkins has pitched the past two seasons.

Four of the five batters up were lefties and he's held them to a 192/236/253 and 222/300/289 line the past two years since moving full-time to the bullpen. SSS bit him there, but Perkins has been very good.

I didn't realize how good he had become, but the comment wasn't really meant as an insult. He's better than Heath Bell or Tim Collins who somehow made the team. I just think the bullpen overall is incredibly underwhelming.

I think having a guy like Perkins makes sense. He's used to the rule and I think taking good setup men/LOOGY types to fill that role is wise.

The failure of the offense is pathetic.

I really like this tournament, but it's so frustrating to watch Team USA's B-team.

Then, to rub it in, MLB Network shows a series of commercials with Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, David Price, etc.

USA baseball should be embarrassed that their players don't care enough to represent the country. The WBC is a fantastic event...since the USA wants to treat it like dogshit they deserve to get their asses kicked again and again. These other teams are too good to think you'll win with your c class pitchers and Eric fickkng Hosmer.
