But does he know the lyrics to ” Let’s Go to the Mall” or the “Beaver Song”?
“LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - How many national teams can boast having a suitable replacement for an MVP winner?
Had Joey Votto’s knee prevented him from playing in this month’s World Baseball Classic, Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman was ready and willing to wear the maple leaf.
“I told the players association to make sure they let the WBC know that both my parents were born in Canada,” Freeman ...

There have been some instance of countries banning the ROC flag in games, but that's for another thread of why the world is a #####. if they ban that in Taiwan there's obviosuly going to be a riot.
From the 1930s to late 1940s, the Communist "People's Republic of China" and the Nationalist "Republic of China" were in a civil war that was only interrupted when the Japanese invaded. Eventually, the PRC forced the ROC to flee to Taiwan, and so technically since then there have been two countries that, on paper, claim to be legitimate rulers of China. Due to the fact that most countries recognize the PRC as the rulers of China, the ROC is sort of in a legal netherworld where they are obviously independent in practice but also technically part of the PRC (and vice-versa). It's... complicated, but basically, they are called "Chinese Taipei" and not "Taiwan" as a way of not pissing off China, which still technically claims the island.
According to B-Ref, Kalian Sams and Michael Duursma. Unfortunately the awesome Dirk Van't Klooster was not added to the roster this year.
There are a few, mainly from the Hoofdklasse.
I can't find a mainstream source for the story, but according to an article that was posted here the Netherlands already won. They'll have 3 MLB games in 2014 or 2015.
Someone suggested there's a bug where if you edit a post, then hit refresh you'll create a double post.
Edit: although I just tried to recreate that and failed.
I was just thinking that if the MLB wants people to take these games seriously, they'll need to upgrade their production values. There's some lousy work being done at some of these games.
According to the papers today, the MLB decided to NOT use the local CPBL crew and hired other local camera crew and yes everyone here is complaining of the shitty directing. the guy's drunk or something.
YESSSSSSSSSS bases loaded HBP
one neat thing about NED, this inning notwithstanding, is that unlike last time when they were the plucky miracle underdogs, this year they seem to have some swagger. I expect they'll pound the bajaysus out of Australia.
Although if Korea plays like they did last night....
