Yeah, and the White Sox had no plans to dismantle when they raved about Joe Borchard.
Read More...General manager Rick Hahn said it’s too early to consider rebuilding the White Sox, although there was an interesting development Monday night.
Second baseman Gordon Beckham started at shortstop in his third game on a minor league rehabilitation assignment for Triple-A Charlotte.
...“We haven’t altered our plan since we left spring training, which was if we’re in a position to contend, we’ll add,” Hahn ...

Of course, there's no reason baseball fans should feel obligated to call the team by the sponsor name anyway, but I seem to be alone in that position.
It's really not bad any more. I actually think it's quite comparable to - probably just a tad better than - Comerica Park.
Ever go to old comiskey? Place was a #### hole. The current incarnation of US Cellular is a fine place to take in a game. As Eddo said, it has much better sightlines that it's much more praised neighbor, Comerica.
It was no such thing. Pee in one urinal trough and all of the sudden folks think they are in a homeless shelter.
It was a hell of a place to watch a game, the atmosphere could get extremely intense and also had a metric ton of history.
The Cell sucked initially but now it is a very nice place to watch a game.
Playing it straight down the middle, I still call it Pac Bell. That and PNC might be the only new corporate names I've adopted. (Busch and Wrigley are grandfathered in of course.) I generally skip/can't remember/can't keep straight the corp entities for Seattle, Cincy, Detroit, Texas. I don't think I know San Diego's. But Pac Bell just sounded right, it being a "classic" corporate name anyway. I wish a more stately sounding corporation had sponsored Pittsburgh. I guess the BOB was OK but are they still the BOB?
But then I still make a point of calling them the Devil Rays from time to time.
Or, as half the people called it when I was growing up, Cominskey. Sounds more Polish.
As long as it isn't crowded thus forcing you into crappy seats. The Cell is like the Vet in that if 18,000 people show up you can get great seats and relatively cheap but if everybody shows up and you were late in purchasing tickets you're going to sit in some crappy seats.
That's pretty cool.
But then again, I also like the upper deck cause I like the walk-up crowd, and it's so fricking cheap.
That is try in the majority of ball parks IMO. Watching a game in sold out Camden is no fun.
