I don't see what's wrong with this. If you're following the game you know who's spot is up. And it is humiliating to be hit for when you've had ARod's career.

I think its a nice gesture but it makes you wonder how much attention GIrardi is paying to the play by play of the game. Or do they have bench coaches just for that reason? I just assumed Girardi was more of a tactical manager being an ex catcher and all, but this might suggest that his job is more about personnel manager...I dunno.

It's a shame the beat writers haven't made a bigger deal of the director of mental conditioning and his role on the team. If there's a person in the organization who clearly helped less (I mean during the postseason almost every Yankee hitter's mind was the mental equivalent of a Biggest Loser contestant's sagging boobies), then I don't know who it is. The NY Post should be running front and back page stories calling for Bohling's firing. This is total horsehit.
