i know lugo has his fans in the twinsphere as well. i remember thinking he looked okay-ish, but only the grounders stood out to me.

Interesting note on Barb - he was listed as having retired last year.

ah - i owe you one vlad, thanks.

guess that's why barb was available - many teams had double-digit available spots to select/protect players in the preceding phase (sea was an exception, they had one)

What do the D'Backs do with Snyder, Montero and Skelton? Montero must be on the move, right?

"did ba crash?"

Site just started loading for me a few minutes ago, but the draft liveblog crapped out right after Veal was taken.

And on reload, it's down like a prom dress.

Run harder, web-hamsters!

The A's seem to have 3 locks for the OF: Holliday, Sweeney, and Buck. Copeland will be competing for the last couple spots with Chris Denorfia, Rajai Davis, Matt Murton, Eric Patterson, Aaron Cunningham, and (I guess) Danny Putnam. I can't see how he beats out any of the first 4 guys. BA sez he can't really handle CF and doesn't have the arm for RF, so he doesn't seem like much of a 4th OFer, even if his bat was decent.

"I can't see how he beats out any of the first 4 guys."

Well, Rajai Davis sucks, so that'll help.

That's pretty accurate. As I said earlier, if Copeland could really play CF he'd be worth a flyer.

If Perdomo sticks with the Giants, the Cardinals will have traded Anthony Reyes for a princely $50,000. That doesn't seem like much of a return.

Well poop, Jose Lugo has been dealt to Seattle for cash.

Florida released Matt Treanor in order to make room for Kroenke.

Sure, but so does Copeland, and Rajai can at least play CF and PR.

Kroenke is a great pick. He should stick and be a very useful free lefty arm.
Palmisano could be a very solid reserve catcher.

I like Mark Hollimon in the AAA phase, good call there.

The Palmisano-to-Houston deal is reportedly a straight cash transaction.
