Tabata is apparently nursing some sort of injury; he hasn't played since the 18th. Neither the Charleston Web site not the Post and Courier has anything to say about it.

Royals acquire P Dan Cortez and assign him to Burlington, and P Tyler Lumsden and assign him to Wichita, both from the White Sox.
