Hey, Murray, is there room in your basement for Lupica and Madden? Can Mike and Bill munch on your Fruit Loops or must they bring their own boxes?
Dan O’Dowd asks some tough questions.
This is my concern. A one-time skip in the rotation can be a nice breather. Throwing less pitches per start, especially with so many breaks in between, might increase his risk of being injured if he’s later pushed in the playoffs. Why? Not throwing as much over the last few weeks of the season will ultimately reduce his overall strength and stamina.
I guess in his view the drop in homers since testing started is purely coincidental.
One of many exciting young shortstops in the game right now. Lindor has been better with the bat than expected.
I can’t see how the Dodgers could take Seager out of the lineup right now.
No, no, no, no, no. Don’t get me wrong. I like Davis. I won’t like the Red Sox being tied to another big contract.
(And, FYI Nick, despite Ortiz’s production this year, he can’t go on like this forever.)
With the way the team has played recently and the amount of talent in the farm system, I can’t help but feel Cherington did not deserve his fate.
Vintage Fielder could decide the division.
All is good then.

John Manuel gives a little attention to some guys who don’t get enough of it.
I would have hit him too. Craig misses the part where Seager grabs his crotch right when he called time first and before he tells Weaver to throw it over the plate.
In this instance I blame the umpire for not stepping in and telling Seager to get in the box. It was perfectly clear that Seager was purposely being disruptive. Had the umpire kept control of the game the ensuing events would not have happened.
This doesn’t sound promising.
Not bad for the Rays number eleven prospect entering the season.
Buster Posey must have grown up watching Blues Clues.

I had a papal trading card collection as a kid, until my Mother Superior threw it out…
Holy cow, Clemente next to Willie Mays in the outfield?
The bloodbath has begun at the Daily News.
Long-time columnist Mike Lupica is among those who are heading out the door, as owner Mort Zuckerman desperately swings his cost-cutting ax, The Post has learned.
So the A’s on Wednesday called up Barry Zito, their former ace and Cy Young winner, from Triple-A Nashville. Zito, 37, had hoped for an MLB comeback this season when he signed a minor-league deal with the A’s, the team that drafted him in the first round in 1999.
This is likely an MLB farewell for Zito. The A’s — with ...Read More...
How simple of an adjustment is it?
An interesting observation on Arrieta as he takes a shot at being the first to win 20 this year.
“My #### doesn’t work in the playoffs. My job is to get us to the playoffs. What happens after that is ####### luck.” — Billy Beane
Getting lucky doesn’t hurt.
