Tacoma Times, January 4, 1913: Amos Russie [sic], one time world famous baseball pitcher for the New York Giants, is in the county jail today on the charge of threatening to kill his wife, who is paralyzed in the lower limbs.
Russie is said to have driven his wife and little daughter out of their home Thursday evening. He was arrested after threatening to kill his wife, daughter and a relative named Mrs. Cuts. Russie works for the Seattle Gas company.
Well, that’s not good.
