I’m still a little confused that I live in a world where Angel Pagan is a $40M free agent, but I don’t think this is a bad deal. Life’s a lot easier for the Giants with Angel Pagan aboard. They no longer need to look for a center fielder, leadoff hitter or Triples Alley connoisseur.
Pagan filled all three roles in the Giants’ world championship run, and he has a chance to keep them four more years after agreeing to a $40 million contract that will become official once he passes a physical this week.
