Dylan Cressy tells The Chicago Tribune he handed his wallet and phone to a friend and scouted his route before the last out was called Thursday night in Cincinnati.
The 22-year-old Indiana University student then jumped over a railing, ran past an officer and began jumping up and down with Cubs players. Cressy patted Arrieta on the head before an officer dragged him away. He was charged with criminal trespass.
Cressy describes the game as “pure joy.”
His father wasn’t thrilled when his son called him from jail. But when Michael Cressy found out why he was arrested he was proud. He says “It took some guts.”

Jonathan Papelbon should have choked Lee Judge instead.
Just what the hell is this?
On May 27, 2015, the Kansas City Star’s Lee Judge wrote a column headlined “Are RBIs a worthless statistic? Ask Rusty Kuntz.” It is a spirited defense of the RBI as a statistic, and it’s just as bad as you’re imagining it is. But we’re not here to discuss the content of an old and bad baseball column; we’re here to talk about how Lee Judge is the laziest ############ on earth.
Today, Judge published a column under the headline “Does it take skill to drive in runs? Rusty Kuntz says yes.” Hey, that sounds familiar. Maybe Judge just really cares about the RBI, though, and has come up with all sorts of other reasons why it’s a great statistic in the last year. No way he just reprinted what is basically the exact same column, right? Let’s check just to be sure a professional sportswriter isn’t really that breathtakingly lazy.

Not very original. Howard Stern performed this act every three of four years while working for K-Rock.
Mike (Sports Pope) Francesa’s Retirement Announcement Tour rolled on Wednesday with His Holiness again saying he will call it quits when his contract expires in 2017.
“It’s not a negotiating ploy,” Francesa contended during his WFAN soiree. “...What I said is true. It’s going to be the end of the road as far as doing this everyday. That’s what the plan is.”
Francesa first broke the news of his intention to end his WFAN ministry to Fox Sports One’s Katie Nolan Tuesday during her “Garbage Time” podcast.
“I’m not saying it (his departure from FAN) will be the end of me broadcasting,” Francesa said Wednesday. “I don’t think it will be. Or maybe I won’t do anything, I have no idea. But you know what, it’s been a heck of a run.”
A run that also recently included him butting heads with suits from WFAN and CBS, which owns the station. Francesa went out of his way claiming that relationship has been repaired.
for his generous support.
