Atlanta Braves right-hander Kris Medlen was one of baseball’s most dominant pitchers down the stretch last season, and that performance recently earned him a spot on the Team USA roster for the upcoming World Baseball Classic. Confirmed that Kris Medlen has withdrawn from WBC because of the impending birth of his first child. Pretty much any day now.
Babies. They ruin everything. Actually, this is probably the best possible reason for anybody to miss anything. Congratulations to the Medlens.
