Remember folks, it’s Miguel Cabrera’s world, we just live in it. Except for when it’s Mike Trout’s.

Only five games today? Yeesh. Well, Kevin Gausman gets his MLB debut. Or, since he went to LSU, I guess it is his debeaux.

Before we chatter today, let us please make sure we all have those in the path of the tornado in Oklahoma yesterday in our thoughts.
Today’s games include: Matt Garza’s first start of 2013, the Orioles try to break out of the free-fall, Strasmas comes to San Francisco and Greinke goes against Milwaukee.

Profar is up, the Orioles are reeling and you have two colors of Sox to choose from. First game starts at 12:05, last one starts at 10:15. Chatter up!

The Yankees are in first, Harper left last night’s game with an injury, the Astros are now about the equivalent of a team in the Texas League, and the tooth fairy is a hoax.
But, on the bright side, full slate of games today.

Maybe today somebody will throw a no-hitter. I mean, jeez, it feels like everything other than a no-hitter has been thrown this season.

15 games today, and I can’t come up with anything witty to say right now. Sorry. I’ll make sure to have something ready for Saturday.

Will the Angels somehow get swept by the Astros?
Will the Athletics come after Angel Martinez with torches and pitchforks?
Will Dickey or Price finally find their groove?
Find out today in the OMNICHATTER!

It wasn’t too long ago that Carlos Zambrano was one of baseball’s top workhorses. Now, he’s a Long Island Duck.
Latest Robothal…including some horning around.
• Francona loves the willingness of veterans such as Nick Swisher, Mark Reynolds and Mike Aviles to move between multiple positions without complaint. He says of the effervescent Swisher, “Just when it seems you need a little encouragement, he’s standing right there.”
• Designated hitter Adam Dunn on the White Sox, who entered Tuesday ranked last in the AL in runs per game (3.47), last in on-base percentage (.283) and next-to-last in slugging (.379): “I’ve never seen anything like it. There literally is not one guy swinging the bat good. It’s embarrassing.”
• Best player in the Blue Jays-Marlins blockbuster? So far it’s Marlins Class A right-hander Anthony DeSclafani, who has a 0.70 ERA in six starts for Jupiter in the Florida State League. Righty Justin Nicolino, the more celebrated pitching prospect in the deal, has a 4.25 ERA at Jupiter.
• Right-hander Chris Bootcheck, currently pitching for the Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate, leads the International League with a 0.60 ERA after five starts. Bootcheck, 34, is throwing five pitches for strikes (fastball, cutter, curveball, slider, changeup). A former first-round pick of the Angels, he could surface with the Yankees at some point.
• And finally, one more word about Machado’s defense. Through Monday, the only defenders in the game with better plus-minus ratings were Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez and Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons (plus-14), Brewers right fielder Norichika Aoki (plus-13) and Marlins left fielder Juan Pierre and Diamondbacks center fielder A.J. Pollock (plus-12).

IN A WORLD where it’s Wednesday, 15 games give us hope, dreams and entertainment. King Felix goes against Pittsburgh, Jordan Zimmermann tries to steal the Astros’ lunch money from the Tigers and Clayton Kershaw takes the mound in the lone 10 PM game.
Also, the Angels try to stop the bleeding against the Astros, because, wow, that is a lot of bleeding.

PREVIOUSLY ON MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL: Matt Harvey took the world by storm, Jordan Zimmermann stepped took a step up to ace status, and the Astros had their lunch money stolen by the Tigers. Oh, and Big Papi has been hitting a lot.
TODAY: Harvey pitches against the Red, Zimmermann tries to steal the Astros’ lunch money from the Tigers, Ortiz goes for 27 and the Astros try to cure the Angels of what ails them because, honestly, if a series against the Astros can’t, what can?

TODAY: Buchholtz takes the mound for the first time since the accusations, while the White Sox/Royal and Rangers/Cubs are make-up games. There are 9 games overall today.
Chatter up!

It’s Sunday. Among the pitchers in action today include Cat Latos’ dad, Lester (who faces the Rangers and Darvish), Darvish (who faces the Red Sox and Lester) and Verlander goes against the Astros, which doesn’t seem particularly fair.
The ESPN Game of The Week (8:00 PM) is Dodgers (Ryu) at Giants (Cain). That should be fun.

It’s Kentucky Derby day! And it’s the 142nd anniversary of Fort Wayne’s 2-0 victory over Cleveland in the first MLB game EVER (when going by the B-Ref definition of Major Leagues). Wonder if the Kekionga faithful had any idea what it would one day become….
Anyway, full slate of games. Nobody cares about your fantasy team. Baseball is weird. LaTroy Hawkins is a Timelord and/or has the Philosopher’s Stone in his possession.
Enjoy.

Cubs have a day game against the Reds at 2:20, and the rest of MLB plays at night, with the final game starting at 10:15 and featuring the timeless matchup of Dodgers vs. Giants.
Oh, and nobody cares about your fantasy team.
